In Nysäter you find Värmlands Viking centre. Visitors experience a travel through time – back hundredths of years. Here the everyday life of the Vikings is presented by handicraft, cultivation and exhibitions. The exhibition which was in York/England before it came to Nysäter exposes among other things a typical road with different handicraft-scenes from the Viking time in the 11th century.

Not far away from the exhibition lies the Viking ship Glad av Gillberga. In summer time you can go on sailing or rowing tours on the boat. You can be involved in rowing or sailing or you can just enjoy the tour as a passenger.
